Yay for this. Though, does it only apply to active skills or to the passive "buff" the title gives?

Mixed feelings on the pve title change. This should have happened years ago if not from the very beginning. I really like that they finally did this but I'm confused why as a developer they have this consistent trend of making things easier for casuals down the road. Why not just implement things this way from the get go?

Works on EotN ones for sure, can't say on LB.

Thank You for the alliance battles update( i'm amazed noone posted such a thing, just debating only about the pve change ( lol..)). Although it's maybe too late, it's still a great move and show that the community isn't completly ignored.

I have Kurzick rank 4 and my skills seem to behave like old rank 8. Does someone know when it maxes?

It applies to the passive buffs of EotN. But Lightbringer has still the same description.
And so does Lightbringer Gaze.

The PvE ranks should have been like this from the beginning. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is that they are now so trivial to get max power, that you may as well have remove the title requirements entirely.

The Lightbringer effect itself isn't changed. Glaiveway never required specific ranks, though they did certainly help.
The barrier to entry for DoA is largely mechanical (speaking of trenchway). Maximized pve skills aren't going to make people better at spiking, or handling splits correctly. There are minimum thresholds for stuff like having lightbringer ranks for tendril's, but someone who cannot mechanically do it is going to fail with max PI and lightbringer regardless.

- Now you only need to max rep titles in a single character. The rest can simply play in NM and they'll get the title to the rank required by the time they reach the end.
- The luxon and kurzick are still annoying, but maybe with more people in AB and better rewards even if losing they might be a little less annoying.
- Also good news for those that were considering spamming sacrifice skills to get rid of those non-spammable sweets. Maybe they should do the same with tonics, giving fireworks in exchange.
- And thank Melandru, those damn spores have now a permanent visual effect. I can't count how many times I've been hit by them even though I was at a safe disatance from any stone mushrooms, when the effect suddenly appeared.

Are you sure it behaves like an old rank 8? It should behave like a rank 9.
It seems to me to be a straight out +5 rank in effectiveness. For EOTN PvE skills, you max out at r5. For Kurzick/Luxon PvE skills, you should max out at r7.

That would be strange because on my account with r5 Luxon, I only have a r10 effectiveness. Did they change it so that it skips to r12 effectiveness when you hit r6?
EDIT: Ok, I tested this by bringing that account to r6 Luxon since I was almost there anyway. It does skip to r12 effectiveness when I hit r6 so you are right, for Kurzick/Luxon PvE skills, you max out at r6.

k, i know imma get chewed out for this, but this is why they should bring back ursan, they nerfed Ursan elites because it wasnt group friendly if u werent max, its sooo damn easy to get now they should revert them back to the previous stats - rollback ursan theway it used to be = more grouping = more fun = less QQ

Does this mean Signet of Illusions no longer enables you to have supermaxed PvE spells?

I don't see what that would accomplish. 7 hero teams designed around a specific character make ursan completely redundant for general content. Something like dagger spam, or even a basic esurge bar will pump out more damage when complimented by heroes. Ursan's power lies in the near total lack of a need for any attempt at overall team synergy. With full hero teams, you need to deliberately limit yourself to make ursan matchup at all favorably.
Speed clears have always been optimal ways of doing the elite areas. Bringing back ursan won't change that either. It took the death of ursan for many to realize the true power of terras, and tactics more complicated than c space. Even with many of the 'nerfs', the current team setups blow anything that ursan could do clean out of the water.

Okay, this weekend is ridiculous.
17,000 Imperial faction from just one match (5000 from kills, 12000 for winning).

It's not a matter of efficiency or efficacy but of grouping with real people. With ursan any group of people could do many areas regardless of skill bar or prof. A group of random people mashing through with ursan is just more fun than heroes or having to have a specific skill bar and concentrating on a specific task.

From what I can tell the PvE titles seem to scale so that your current rank is doubled for the purpose of determining skill strength.
